Back in blog post Enrolled Students filter in Web Search I talked about having added an Enrolled checkbox for filtering student search results. Some time after that we decided to add the additional ability to filter by enrolled within a particular school year. It looks like this:

We've since rolled this out in a handful of states and I think it works much better than the whole My Students thing. You can take a look at how we've implemented it for Kansas here:

They still have the "Active Only" checkbox as well, but I think getting rid of that too can also work better for some states. Let me know if you're interested in replacing your student search on the web with something like this.
